channa Masala

Ingredients required -


1 cup - chopped Onion
1 cup - Tomato puree ( i prefer to just blend the ripe tomatoes)
200 gm - Soaked (over night ) and boiled channa (or chickpea)
4 tsp - channa masala powder
1 tsp - turmeric
2 tsp - lemon juice
4 tsp - cooking oil ( butter could be used)
coriander (for garnish)
salt to taste


How to make Channa Masala -


Heat the oil in the pan and fry the chopped onions until brown


Now add the tomato puree and mix well


Then add the channa masala and turmeric and salt and bring it to boil


Now add the boiled channa into it and let it cook for about 2 minutes


Once the required consistency is attained remove from heat


Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander
